I know what it’s like to have my dad coach me my whole life. Ever since I was 4, my dad coached soccer for me. Ever since then, I have had the opportunity of him always being there by my side. I know what it’s like to have my dad always be there for me.
I am actually surprised with how much knowledge my dad possesses for every sport that I play. Whether it’s soccer, baseball, track, cross country, or basketball. His knowledge in the field of sports has shaped my career as an athlete. He has taught me to never give up on my dreams, and that I can accomplish anything if I have hardwork and dedication. I know what it’s like to have my dad always be there for me.
It’s not always nice having your dad as a coach, in fact, it really sucks sometimes. It puts a lot of pressure on you, and you are expected to always be hard working. You can't slack off or be distracted. You can’t make mistakes, you’re expected to be perfect. If you do something wrong or make a mistake, it’s equivalent to killing someone. I know what it’s like to have my dad always be there for me.
Being the coach's son has some perks. I don’t have to know all the game times. Again I don’t have to call the coach if I can’t make it. I get to help my dad make plays. I get to be captain a lot. I have the opportunity to see our team through the eyes of the coach. I receive lots of knowledge from my dad when I am playing. I know what it’s like to have my dad always be there for me.
In conclusion, my dad has been my coach my whole life. He has been a great example on my life. He has inspired me to always do my best. I will never forget some of the things that he has taught me throughout all of my years as being an athlete. I know what it’s like to always have my dad be there for me.
